Here are just a few examples of applied research questions that I have answered in my career:

• Why do some farmers grow monocultures when they know it can hurt their fields and what can be done to encourage them to increase the diversity of their plantings?
• Why did so many of the research collaborations between scientists that a centre funded result in the scientists no longer working together within a year, and what can be done about it?
• If we build an ecotourism hotel on this island, how likely are we to make a profit? How much might it cost?  What are reasonable projections for visitors?

Sometimes there’s a question that plagues your efforts, and it’s actually pretty easy for an experienced research team to get you the answer that lets you move forward. That’s what we do at Brighter Spark.
