Anthropological Approaches to Asian Religions

This seminar explores the anthropological study of Asian religions. We will be reading one complete ethnography every two weeks and discussing it in terms of content, method, theoretical assumptions, and writing style. Students will be expected to lead seminar discussions and provide short response papers each week.
