Biography

I completed my Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Classics at Brock University in 2014, and in 2015 I completed a Postgraduate study program in GIS at Niagara College. Since then, I have been working in the Ontario CRM industry, which has led me to an interest in the archaeology of Southern Ontario.

My research involves the use of GIS to investigate Archaic Period subsistence-settlement patterns in the Lower Grand River watershed. More specifically, my aim is to make use of GIS and site location data from the Ontario Ministry of Tourism and Culture to determine how settlement patterns changed over time in relation to landscape features associated with different subsistence strategies. This study will be the first comprehensive effort to synthesize and analyze spatial data to identify trends in Archaic subsistence-settlement patterns in this part of Ontario.
