Biography
I received my BSc from University of Toronto in 2017, where I completed an honors program in Anthropology. During my undergraduate studies, I held a research assistantship as a member of the Schreiber Wood Archaeological project, managing data and archiving historic artifacts.
Through my MA research in Cultural Anthropology, I intend to study how the social positioning of South Asian immigrant women intersects with precarious employment and overall lifestyle within the GTA. How do these women negotiate their new social roles within a foreign country while also maintaining cultural identity and values? My research will contribute to a better understanding of what precarity looks like in the GTA.
