Biography
I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta with a BA in Anthropology (Honours). Throughout my undergraduate degree I tended to gravitate towards the biological Anthropology sub-discipline. My interests mainly lie in osteology, paleopathology, forensics and stable isotopic analysis. My work within anthropology includes, the applicability of histological analysis on unknown osteological materials in differentiating faunal remains from human remains and a virtual ethnographic study of the pedagogical techniques within medical education (pre, during, and post Covid-19).
My work at McMaster will be under the supervision of Dr. Megan Brickley and will focus on metabolic disease (specifically osteomalacia) and how it affects archaeological human remains from a Montreal collection.
