Biography
Joanna is a PhD student in the Department of Political Science at McMaster University, where she is exploring deliberative minipublics (DMPs), representation, and public opinion. Her research interests include deliberative democracy, public policy, and Canadian and comparative politics. She is a Fellow in the Digital Society Lab at McMaster University, and a former Research Fellow in the Public Engagement in Health Policy Project.
Joanna previously worked at MASS LBP in Toronto, Canada, where she ran long-form deliberative panels, and The Royal Society of Arts (The RSA) in London, UK, where she led a program to increase engagement in health and public services. She completed her MA in Political Studies at Queen’s University, and her BA in Social Policy at University of York, UK.
