Biography
I graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto in 2022 with a major in Genome Biology and double minors in Anthropology and Mediaeval Studies.
My research interests primarily revolve around plague studies and include molecular paleopathology, evolutionary epidemiology, and medieval medicine. Specifically, I am interested in the genomic evolution of Yersinia pestis in both European and non-European contexts and unearthing more about the spread of plague both temporally and spatially. Over the course of my MA in Biological Anthropology at McMaster University, I hope to promote more interdisciplinary approaches to the field of Ancient DNA and help bridge the subjects of science and history.
