Biography

I completed my BSc in 2017 at the University of Toronto, where I majored in Nutritional Science and Anthropology. My research interests include population nutrition, food choice, food security and paleoethnobotany. Specifically, I am interested in the relationships between food consumption, nutritional stress and the sociopolitical environment among archaeological populations. My MA research will explore dietary trends among Classic Maya populations in Mesoamerica, using microbotanical samples extracted from human teeth.
