Christina Luzius-Vanin is a current Ph.D. student in the School of Social Work at McMaster University. She is also an Ontario Certified Teacher, artist, teaching assistant, and MITACS research intern. Christina has completed a B.A. with a Visual Arts Honors Specialization at the University of Western, as well as her B.Ed. and M.Ed. at Queen’s University. As an emerging educator and researcher Christina developed an interest in examining education's role in school mental health as students' social supports and natural mentors. Currently, her research explores how students experience and are supported by Canadian secondary school when learning with or seeking treatment for early psychosis.
