Biography
Archaeometrist specialising in elemental characterisation and materials’ analysis (PIXE and SEM-EDS), geo-archaeologist with regional interests in the Western Mediterranean and Ethiopia. Has published extensively on obsidian and flint characterisation studies detailing prehistoric (Palaeolithic – Chalcolithic) assemblages from Ethiopia, France, Georgia, Italy, Syria and Turkey amongst others. Has been a research collaborator and co-author with Tristan Carter since 2005, working on the analysis of obsidian artefacts from Çatalhöyük, Göbekli Tepe and the Öküzini Cave amongst other data sets.
