Biography

In my research I employ hair cortisol concentration (HCC) analysis to explore stress around death in individuals from the Ptolemaic through the Romano-Christian Periods in Egypt. I hope to demonstrate that HCC can be used to shed light on circumstances surrounding death in the past and that this information can inform the ways bioarchaeologists view, interact with, and interpret their data and the lives of those that lived in the past.
