My name is Sanket Das and I graduated from McMaster in 2018. It took me five years to graduate from Political Science as I participated in two internships with the Office of Experiential Education. My two roles were within a public policy capacity, which eventually led to my current job as a Policy Analyst. The courses I took at McMaster and the internship experiences I was involved with placed me in a very strong position for success, and I certainly owe a large part of obtaining my current role to the preparation I had at Mac.

The McMaster experience has done so much more for me than technical professional development. The courses and opportunities at Mac have allowed me to build confidence and communication skills. In fact, I think the focus on developing business and social communication skills in a lot of my courses is one of the most important things I’ve learned.

The Social Sciences faculty is also, well, social. Classmates from my faculty are now friends, and the relationships I’ve built over my 5 years at Mac will last for life. I am glad to call McMaster home.
