Biography

Rochelle Maurice is a student in McMaster’s School of Social Work. She holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences from Western University, Master of Social Work from New York University, and a Master of Health Sciences in Bioethics from the University of Toronto.

Rochelle’s work in clinical and organizational ethics was shaped by her professional background in social work. Her social work experience has been in intensive care, cardiac care, and geriatrics within an acute care hospital. Rochelle’s most significant experience has been working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Paediatrics department in a community teaching hospital in Toronto. She has an interest in issues relevant to women and children, especially those where systems of oppression impact the mother-child dyad.
